Dr. Richard T. Yung completed one of the accredited fellowships of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. During his fellowship, affiliated with Emory University, Dr. Yung learned to specialize in aesthetic surgery of the face, using the latest and most minimally invasive techniques.
Dr. Yung is a national award winning facial plastic surgeon. He was the recipient of the 2000 John Orlando Roe Award given annually by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for his work in Botox Assisted Browlifts. He has also been recognized by Castle Connolly as America’s Cosmetic Doctors and Dentists in 2003 and 2005 for Facial Plastic Surgery. Dr. Yung was also recognized by Beth Israel Medical Center in 1995 with the Norman E. Stoller Award for best surgical resident. In 1999, The New York Medical College bestowed the Resident Teaching Award to Dr. Yung for his training of other surgeons.
Dr. Yung’s scope of practice include facelifts, both traditional and short scar as well as neck lift with or without liposuction, rhinoplasty (nose jobs primary or revision), eyebrow lifts, upper and lower eyelid surgery, fat transfer, otoplasty (prominent ear repair), torn earlobes, scar revision, chin augmentation, cheek augmentation, and skin rejuvenation (lasers and chemical peels).
Dr. Yung also uses non-invasive techniques to bolster the aesthetics of his patients. He uses Botox® to improve forehead wrinkles and crows feet. He uses Restylane®, Radiesse™, and collagen to smooth lines, grooves, and augment the lips. He uses lasers to help with spider veins, brown or red spots, and hair removal.
Dr. Yung graduated with highest honors with a bachelor of arts in chemistry from The Johns Hopkins University. He then completed medical school at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. A surgical residency followed at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. Dr Yung completed an otolaryngology-head and neck residency at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary where he served as a chief resident. He then underwent his fellowship in Atlanta, Georgia.
