Did you know that, on average, 80% of the sun damage a person suffers in a lifetime will be done by his/her 18th birthday? This is because after one turns 18, the amount of time spent in the sun is far less than when a person is younger and enjoying outdoor activities during recess, camp, swimming, and other outdoor sports. It is critical to protect the skin from sun damage to minimize the risk of getting skin cancer as one ages. Protecting one's skin will also minimize the signs of aging (e.g., wrinkles).
With so many sunblocks available, choosing the right one can be confusing. There are several factors to consider when choosing a sunblock:
